Hi! I consider myself fortunate to have enjoyed being physically active for as long as I can remember. Now I find joy in helping others develop positive relationships with physical activity, exercise, and moving their bodies. I love watching people having fun with exercise and enjoying the many benefits that come from better fitness and health. When I'm not doing Kinesiology work, you'll find me playing outside, cooking (would you believe I'm a pizza chef?), borrowing my parent's dogs, reading, playing guitar, or taking care of the animals on the farm.

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg and became a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer in 2013. After working as a Certified Personal Trainer and Registered Kinesiologist in a variety of settings (group classes, personal/partner/team/small group training, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular rehab), I decided to become a CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist to increase my scope of practice, certifying in 2019. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax and leading exercise classes for people affected by cancer in the ACCESS and EXCEL programs. It's a ton of fun and extremely rewarding.

I started the Exercise for Life classes for participants who want to keep exercising when the program ends and to create a fun, safe exercise space for anyone who wants to improve, maintain, or enjoy their health and fitness. I truly enjoy exercise and the ordinary and not-so-ordinary things that a certain amount of fitness allows me to do. I can't promise to make you love exercise as much as I do, but I will do everything in my power to help you enjoy the process of improving and maintaining your health and fitness. Or at the very least not dread it!
